It Takes a Village to Raise a Park February 14, 2018

Key Club Fundraising Continues with Bird Feeders and Garage Sale

The Marshfield Key Club continues to strive towards their $35,000 goal to update the playground structures at 10th Street Park. The Club has $10,000 remaining to raise by April 1, 2018 and is putting tireless effort to make certain they complete their plans to Adopt-A-Park and make the 10th Street Park playground a safe and attractive area for children and families to enjoy the outdoors. The City of Coos Bay has been partnering with the Key Club, outlining a plan to provide site improvements that support the rejuvenation efforts.

The Key Club is inviting the community to their Garage Sale event on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Blossom Gulch School in the cafeteria from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Additionally, the Club has been handcrafting colorful bird feeders, which sell for $8 each or two for $15 and include the first fill-up of birdseed.

If you would like to donate suitable resale items for the upcoming sale or would like to buy a bird feeder in support, please contact Key Club Advisor Stacy Gulseth at 541-269-6652 or email to: stacyg@coos-bay.k12.or.us.
