Women Build with Habitat for Humanity May 15, 2018

MAY 5 - MAY 12, 2018

Last weekend the Coos Bay Area Habitat for Humanity joined in the effort of the National Women Build Week. City resident and City Project Engineer Jan Kerbo helped in the cause. Kerbo and a group of 30 women came together on Saturday, May 12, 2018 to help frame a local Habitat for Humanity home. Together, the women and men volunteering framed the lower walls of the home in Empire. The home will go to the Dresser family who was on site the entire day Saturday. The Dresser family actively participated in the project and were very grateful for the help provided. It’s nice to see a community come together to help create a home where a family can raise their children in Coos Bay. The City appreciates all that their citizens do to support one another through volunteering.
